Official showcase submissions also now open

April 19, 2014 – The Board of Directors of Folk Alliance Region Midwest (FARM) have announced that online registration for the 2014 conference in St. Louis, Missouri is now open.  The 3-day regional conference where folk and acoustic music professionals gather to meet, talk, learn, listen, promote, pay tribute, celebrate, sing, dance and make music returns to the Sheraton Westport Chalet Hotel October 23rd through the 26th.

Full conference”early bird” registration for Folk Alliance members prior to the September 1 deadline is $90.  After that date registration becomes $110, and increases to $130 after October 1.  First-time attendees and returning venues may register prior to the September 1 deadline for $60, which increases to $80 after September 1 and $100 after October 1.  Other conference registration options include a Friday or Saturday only package.  More information on conference registration is available here.

FARM has also announced that submissions are now being sought for Official Showcase performers at the 2014 conference.  Jeff Robertson will once again coordinate the Official Showcase events through The Listening Room Network.  Musicians wishing to submit material for consideration are asked to submit two songs, preferably as videos that represent their on-stage performing style.  The submission fee remains at $15 for this years conference.  More information and to begin the online submission process is available here.
