November 3, 2013 – KC Cafe Radio’s first visit to the Folk Alliance Region Midwest Conference (FARM) in St. Louis, Missouri was indeed a rewarding experience. In three days, we provided nearly 40 hours of live conference coverage, including 6 hours of live performances from 26 musicians that were featured in our Showcase room.
We also had the opportunity to reunite with several friends at FARM, some who became KC Cafe Radio Performing Artists back when the station started in 2008. We also made some new friends, whose music is either currently playing, or soon will be added to our music rotation.
It was an exhaustive, sometimes mind-numbing three days. Nonetheless, once we packed up the equipment and headed back home, we all agreed it was perhaps one of our most rewarding experiences so far. We hope you enjoyed it as well.
