KC Cafe Radio Performing Artist and singer/songwriter/composer/producer Marc Black has recorded and performed with many music's greatest, including Richie Havens, Taj Mahal, Rick Danko and John Sebastian.

For his newest album, Pictures Of The Highway, Black chose Ray La Montagne's rhythm section to highlight the album’s unique sound.  And, that uniqueness has been paying off for Black.  Within weeks of it's release, Pictures Of The Highway reached #7 on the Folk DJ Chart, #38 on the Cash Box Americana Chart and #1 on the Roots Rock Internet Airplay top 50.

I recently had the opportunity to speak with Marc about his early music influences, his humorous & political song, "I Love You Rachel Maddow", the fun and memorable tune "Ooh I Love My Coffee" as well as his many other projects and current tour.  And, Marc teaches me a thing or two about "Fracking."
