The Unfaithful Servants have quickly gained a reputation in Western Canada as a must-see act. With an original and exciting approach to Americana, folk, bluegrass and country music, the group serves up explosive instrumentals, compelling story-telling and high powered vocals. Their debut album, released June 2019 is a stunning collection of original songs and tunes, that traverse borders and (at times) genres.

  CEJ (CA)

Cej is a songwriter, guitarist, itinerant Social Worker and founding member of the Joel Rafael Band. His CDs, Sleepwalker in Paradise and Clovis Man, were well received by Folk and AAA/ Americana radio across the US and internationally. His new CD, Adobe Road, seems poised to outrun its predecessors. All 3 are inspired by his work as a counselor to military families, but Adobe Road dives deeper and more directly into those experiences.

ZOE MULFORD (UK/PA)

Zoe Mulford wrote “The President Sang Amazing Grace,” which was covered by Joan Baez and won Folk Alliance’s International Folk Award for 2018 Song of the Year. The lyric has recently been published as a picture book with paintings by Jeff Scher. A powerful performer, Mulford backs her clear voice with guitar or claw-hammer banjo and engages listeners with vivid storytelling, humor, and deep compassion.

SULTANS OF STRING (ON, CANADA)

3x JUNO (Canada’s Grammy) nominees/4x CFMA winning Sultans of String are “an energetic and exciting band with talent to burn!” (Maverick Magazine, UK). Thrilling audiences with their genre-hopping passport of Celtic reels, Flamenco, Gypsy-jazz, Arabic, and Cuban rhythms, fiery violin dances with kinetic guitar, while funky bass lays down unstoppable grooves. Throughout, acoustic strings meet electronic wizardry to create layers and depths of sound.

WHITHERWARD (TN)

Whitherward is a full-time internationally touring duo, a partnership between singer-songwriters Ashley Norton and Edward Williams. The duo has built a catalog of songs that explore the various sub genres of indie folk. Often compared to Simon & Garfunkel or Penny & Sparrow, Whitherward’s style captures the spirit of introspection on the open road.
