While Robert Dale Klein has only made one album of his own he’s been writing songs for decades. His album This Side of the Dirt has been a KC Cafe Radio favorite with it charting in our top ten multiple times. He felt like he finally had something that was really worth sharing, and we’re glad that he did. He got the chance to record at the Butcher Shoppe Studio in Nashville which is bursting at the seams with history and the perfect place for a musical storyteller like him to record his first album.

Recently, KC Cafe Radio Music Director Kathy Forste got the chance to talk with Klein via Skype. They chat about never coming to the writing table without something in your hip pocket, his sold-out album release, and more.
